Dear Parent & Carers
As you may well be aware, the Ofsted report from our recent inspection has now been published. You can read the report in full here https://files.api.ofsted.gov.uk/v1/file/50079461
While we were disappointed with their overall judgements and elements of the final report, the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body put in place an immediate action plan, against which we have already made significant progress. As you can imagine, the school has prioritised Safeguarding and Health & Safety to ensure that any areas of concern have been quickly addressed and that the safety of all our children remains the number one priority of the school. So whilst we continue to explore with Ofsted our objections to their inspection findings and published report, we have, and will continue to work effectively to address the improvement points raised.
We were pleased to see the many positive aspects in the report, not least their positive view on teaching and learning, including Early Years, behaviour, the curriculum and subject leadership. We do however also accept that there are areas of our work that needs attention.
We will keep you fully informed of our progress in addressing all aspects arising from the report.
In the meantime, we would encourage all parents and carers to come to the meeting here at school this Wednesday, 5th June, at 6pm to hear about these plans, ask any questions you may have and give us the opportunity to reassure you that Wainscott remains a safe and supportive environment for your children.
